Hi there! My name is Themis, and I took part in the “Bridges of Heritage” project in
Thessaloniki. It was a fantastic experience because I built friendships not only with the
international participants but also with the Greek team. There is a unique feeling in knowing
you have friends and people you care about all over the globe—and a strong desire to see
them again. Ultimately, I always say that Erasmus is the one thing on the planet that
combines travel, friendship, communication, and cross-cultural connection with the chance
to be 100% yourself and experience absolute freedom. Many thanks to “I Participate” for the

From 11 to 17 August 2026, I had the opportunity to participate in an Erasmus+ project in
Thessaloniki, together with Greek and Irish participants. It was a wonderful and unforgettable
experience, through which I met new people and made new friendships. I especially enjoyed
the non-formal education activities, where we learned, worked together, and had fun. At the
same time, I got to know Irish culture better and felt that I became more independent, social,
and open to new experiences. What I will remember the most are the laughter, the
conversations, the activities, and all the beautiful moments we shared. Erasmus once is
never enough… see you in Ireland!

Participating in the “Bridges of Heritage” program was a wonderful and unforgettable
experience. I met new people, made new friends, and learned a great deal about Ireland’s
culture and traditions. As the first phase of the program comes to an end, I feel both sad and
excited about the second phase in Ireland, where I will reunite with the very people who
gave me these unforgettable memories! I would also like to thank the “I Participate”

My participation in the “Bridges of Heritage” program, organized by I-Participate in Thessaloniki from August 11 to 17, 2026, was a delightful summer experience. The program organizers did an impeccable job with both the execution of the program and the activities. The hospitality was outstanding. I met peers from various cities across my country and, of course, had the opportunity to connect with teenagers from Ireland. At the age of 17, I had the opportunity to improve my English, collaborate with peers I was meeting for the first time, and build my self-confidence and independence.
A big thank you to the program organizers for their care, constant support, and guidance, as well as for providing a safe and creative environment.
